Covid-19 Update - Owners

Richmond Holiday Centre - Covid-19

UPDATE REGARDING VISITING THE PARK BETWEEN 29th MARCH & 11th APRIL 2021

Despite the information provided to us from the Government that was passed on to our Caravan Owners that they are able to visit their caravans between the above dates, ELDC have now advised us that this is not the case.

To confirm, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO VISIT YOUR CARAVAN UNTIL 12th APRIL 2021. Please see details below from the email that we have received today.

We are receiving increased enquiries from Caravan Sites about allowing people to visit site to “inspect and maintain” their vans from 29th March 2021.

In the absence of further guidance from the government other than the “road map” document East Lindsey District Council advice to caravan owners and park owners is as follows:-

  • Although we are phasing into coming out of lockdown, the virus is still stubbornly present in parts of the county and recently East Lindsey has experienced a rise in cases, so we are not out of the woods yet.
  • The roadmap states that from 29th March people should still minimise travel wherever possible, and should not be staying away from home. Caravan Sites and Self-contained accommodation is not permitted to open at this stage other than for the exceptions relating to being homeless etc. provided in the current restrictions.
  • If you are a site owner you should not be allowing people to access the site for the purpose of “inspecting” or “maintaining” their vans.
  • People should not be travelling from outside of the county in order to just visit their caravan. We are taking that “minimise travel” as described in the roadmap at this time still means stay local, which the government guidance states is as follows:- If you need to travel you should stay local. This means you should avoid travelling outside of your village, town or the part of a city where you live. You should reduce the number of journeys you make overall.
  • No overnight stays on site are permitted during this period.

We are sorry for any confusion caused, unfortunately this is beyond our control and we are acting on information provided to us as it arrives.

WHAT IS OPEN & WHEN? (Government Covid-19 Restrictions)

The following details all assume that the governments guidelines remain as published on 22nd February. Any updates that affect how we operate will be posted on this site and on our social media.

Caravan Owners may use their caravans from 9am on Monday 12th April 2021.

Use of caravans is restricted to one household only.

The Clubhouse (Bars, Restaurant & Arcade) will be closed with no entertainment available, we are permitted to serve food and alcohol outdoors (6 people or 2 households), however availability of this will very much be dependant on the weather.

Those that ‘let’ their caravan are permitted to do so but only to one household and all additional ‘Covid-19’ letting requirements must be adhered to, we have sent you information on this, if you require another copy please let us know.

All other facilities will be open but will be subject to government restrictions as regards distancing, facemasks, no changing rooms etc.

From 17th May 2021 we will be permitted to open the Clubhouse Bars, Restaurant and Arcade and entertainment will also be allowed. We should also be permitted to open the changing facilities in the leisure centre. This will be subject to government covid-19 restrictions.

From 21st June 2021 it is hoped that we will return to a ‘near normal’ however this is to be confirmed. To view Government guidance in more detail and for the latest updates visit: www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance.
